Our next task was to create a digi pack of our CD cover. First of all we did drafts of what we wanted each section of the CD to look like, we did drafts for the front, back and inlays. We did these drafts to ensure that we was putting across the correct message and ideology to our specific target audience and making sure we were representing our genre correctly.

Poster
For our ideas for the poster, we knew as a group that we wanted to keep a clear and coherent pack of ancillary texts. We wanted our CD cover, Poster and Music video to all link together in order to create a signature identity for our artist.
We wanted to use a similar shot ...so therefore we wanted him dressed in the same costume as in the video and on the CD cover, we also wanted to use a similar pose .....we got our artist to casually lean against a tree in the setting in which we shot the music video in, to enable it all to link with one another.
We posed Cincere in a casual yet cool position, whereby he is looking at the ground slightly smirking, we personally think that this laid back look connotes a sense of mystery, dominance, style, fun and confidence. These attributes are everything that we wanted our artist to posses.
To keep all the ancillary texts coherent we used the same font style for Cincere's name and throughout the rest of the poster to present a slick representation. We used digital technologies such as photoshop to help fade out parts of the surrounding such as the building and fences as we feel these were not necessity's to have in the poster and made our artist look more mysterious. We wanted it all to be about Cincere therefore positioning him as the focus point in the center of the poster.
To advertise the dates we also used the same font style and highlighted all the dates in a white colour to stand out just like the CD cover. We then added a faded blue boxed background to the text to add a hint of colour and give out connotations of masculinity. We feel that our poster is very successful as it its clear and straight to the point, our audience will not only recognise the image of Cincere, but also the location and font style, there for creating a successful ancillary promotion package.

Front Cover
For the front cover we did 3 different drafts. We wanted to creative an emotive image as our artist is one with a lot of soul and emotion in his music and lyrics. We therefore decided to have him calmly leaning up against a tree and looking at the ground creating feelings of sadness and high emotions to our target audience. The setting that we used was the same as the one used in the music video, we did this to create a coherent story and narrative for our audience. We edited parts of the setting out that were not needed such as the fence and empty parts of the field, this was so our artist was emphasised and was shown as the main feature on the cover.
When deciding what our artist was to wear on the front cover, we looked at our target audiences age and our artists age and genre and therefore decided we had to keep his costume simple, yet on trend and appealing to both a male and female target demographic. We also chose dark coloured costume to connote a sense of mystery and dominance from his gender as a male.

Inlay
For the front inlay we wanted to carry on the emotive tone and use a photo that captured the sense of our artists feelings. Using a close-up shot of the artists face, allows the audience to connect with our artist and it makes the CD cover coherent. We also used the same setting and photoshoped it to make it look foggy which enhanced our artist almost showing him as a silhouette this can also connote a sense of mystery about who our artist really is to our target demographic.

Back Inlay
For the back inlay we wanted a simplistic image as we new only parts of it would be seen, therefore we chose a shot of our artists feet. It is connected to the artists song 'my way home' as it is a shot of feet in the midst of walking. We used the same setting to keep the narrative cohesive and added the song title at the bottom in the same font as used on the cover.

Back Cover
We had a perfect image for the back of our CD cover. It links to the front cover of his towards the cover and then the back is of our artist walking away. We chose this photo because it links to the ending of the narrative of the song and the photo in general looks sleek and powerful by his tall posture and the fact his is placed in the centre of the shot shows Cincere as a dominant and established artist.
We added on the general information shown on the back of a CD cover....
We chose what to put on the back of our CD cover by analysing other CD covers from artists from our genre. We also made sure that we used the same font throughout the covers to ensure we had a cohesive, professional finish.
